Boy and his mother tracks down engagement ring owner on social media.

11 year old boy has reunited a lost engagement ring with its owner on Facebook after he caught the gold band in his fishing net. Casper Kjellström was making his day out in the heat on the weekend, fishing at the coast with his traditional fishing net.

But while the 11-year-old was dragging the net along the underwater surface in Almenäs near Borås, Sweden, he caught a ring with the inscriptions “Christian” and “Annelie”

Casper’s mum Yasna told The Local that he was excited when he found the ring, but she was worried, and immediately searched for its owner on facebook. One of her posts was shared on Facebook almost a thousand times, and the ‘Christian’ on the jewellery soon got in touch.

He was delighted and said that he had not thought people this honest existed. I just said ‘of course they do’,” she said.

As well as being proud of his good deed, Caspar is apparently now given to treasure hunting.

Not that its come to any use, says Mum: “We went back to the beach yesterday, but only got mussels!”
